Born and raised in Colombia, Maria started her accounting career there in 1988 with Peat Marwick. After moving to Boca Raton, FL, in 1996, she earned her second bachelor's degree and, ultimately, a master's in Management and Leadership. Her insurance career began in 2007 with Florida Peninsula Insurance Company and has spanned four separate carriers and managing general agencies. Maria has held executive roles in accounting, compliance, and operations, with responsibilities in product development and implementation, rate filings, actuarial assessment, corporate governance, government and regulatory affairs, IT, and risk management. A driven leader, she has managed high-performing teams throughout her 25-year career, as well as managed boards and investors.

Robert has over 30 years of experience in the insurance field. He started with the Chubb Group of Insurance Companies and held senior leadership roles with AIG, GE Capital, ACE INA (now Chubb), and Verisk Analytics, based in the United States and various overseas locations. He has developed leadership skills and led a variety of functional disciplines, including general management, mergers and acquisitions, business development, underwriting, strategic marketing, and operations. Prior to his current role with Trident Ventures Group, LLC, he served as the Chief Compliance Officer for Cabrillo Coastal General Insurance Agency, LLC. Robert is a graduate of Gettysburg College.
